Qi Gong Of The Four Seasons

– A Holistic Practice for Body and Mind

Qi Gong combines breathing, mental focus, inner and outer posture, movement, and imagination into a holistic experience. In China, this is referred to as the "cultivation practice of body and mind." Gently mobilizing the entire body, it strengthens emotional and mental resources while promoting physical well-being.zhengyidao_bewegteform169x169

" Qi Gong Of The Four Seasons" is uniquely attuned to nature, with which we are always connected, both physically and emotionally. It offers a deeper understanding of the interplay between nature, body, soul, emotions, and organs, which is both taught and experienced through practice. Each season features a composition of 11 standing exercises designed to harmonize the inner and outer nature.

However,  Qi Gong Of The Four Seasonsis not about creating a "valium-like state" or an illusion of harmony and peace. Instead, it encourages embracing life in all its holistic contradictions – in motion, in harmony with oneself and the world. Taking responsibility for ourselves and our actions is an essential part of this practice.

Like nature, we go through a cyclical process of four seasons. Each season brings its own opportunities, manifestations, comforts, and challenges. There is no "good" or "bad" season; rather, we learn to make the most of the unique advantages each time of year offers.

As a Chinese proverb says: "Those who sow in winter will not reap a harvest the following year, no matter how hard they work."

The seasons surround us constantly, forming an endless cycle that repeats every year but is never exactly the same. To align ourselves with the energy of the seasons and harness their power, Four Seasons Qi Gong is an ideal practice. Each season is associated with an element and specific organs, highlighting the influence of the seasons on our bodily functions and emotional states. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the practice explains the characteristics of each season and their effects on our body and mind.
